WAVERLEY REPRESENTATIVE SOFTBALL INFORMATION SHEET 2014-2015 SEASONTRIAL DATESOpen State Championship TrialsAll players who play in Open 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be eligible for selection. Selectors will watch the first 2 weeks of competition and create a pool of 30 players who will be asked to nominate. From this those players in the pool will be watched weeks 3 and 4 and the team will be selected. ALL players not required by WSA who play in Open 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be eligible to permit to other associations even if not selected in the pool.State Championship Team Trials and WSA Representative Team Trials U19, U17 and U15 (Girls and Boys), U13 (Girls and Boys)26th October 2014, 1pm-4pmAll players wishing to play in any state champs of the above mentioned grade must attend. Anyone unable to attend must write in to the WSA Rep committee with a valid reason. WSA Rep Committee reserves the right to not accept a player’s reason.All players wishing to be considered for State Champs, the Australia Day Carnival and/or the Waverley Easter Carnival are to attend.**Please note – even if you can only do 1 of the tournaments please attend the trial date above.PLAYER NOMINATIONSForms will be sent to clubs Monday 6th October 2014. ALL clubs are required to send this out to ALL of their members. The form will also be available online. Hard copies will also be available the first 3 Saturday’s of the season from the control room.It is advisable that players wanting to nominate this season hand in forms on or before Saturday 25th October but forms will be available on the days of trials and can be submitted then.COACH NOMINATIONSThese have been delayed due to Softball Victoria’s new coaching guidelines. Coaches MUST now be Level 3 in order to coach at ALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS.At this point in time as Softball Australia has not yet provided a Level 3 course and in turn this depletes our coach’s pool dramatically we have has to make some changes to how these roles are normally appointed.For the 2014-2015 season the below guidelines will apply:
